Berry FAQ’s

So I had another wonderful suggestion to start an FAQ’s and I think I will! I get a lot of questions asked that I feel I have repeated about 100 times over. So hopefully this will help~

Q: Will you read my legacy/story/rainbowcy

A: Please try not to take this personally or think in anyway I am trying to be rude. But I get about 3-5 requests every few days for me to read peoples stories. I find it absolutely wonderful and am totally honored by this, but the fact is, there is just way too many to read. I already have about 50+ in my reader already and if I miss a few days (which lately has been happening more) I have over 100 updates to read.

So that being said, there is just no possible way for me to add anymore. I terribly sorry.

Q: What Mods do you use? How do you get colorful maternity/baby blankets?

A: I use Nraas mods mostly. Master Controller / Story Progression / DebugEnabler. All three of these mods are my life line for many of the special things you see in the story. People sitting on beds(DebugEnabler), baby blankets and maternity wear of different colors ect (Master Controller). They are both great and I highly recommend them.

Q: How do you come up with all of your names.

Q: What skins and default eyes do you use?

A: For the colors I use Fawkes Euphoria skintones.

I use Peggy Zone Male skin tone, and Rose Sims for females.

Sadly Rose no longer offers her skin for download.

Q: Where can I get Sugar Valley/Twizzlerbrook/Bricoheport. 

A:  Sugar Valley can be found at my website. Be aware it is not an actual world. It is a save that you install into  your saves folder.

Twizzlerbrook and Briocheport are not exactly full towns, so they are not available.

Q: can i ask you a question on gameplay? how much do you decide when it comes to the characters lives? Do you decide on the children’s genders or do you let it just happen? do you map out exactly how many kids they’re going to have and what is going to happen to those kids?

A:  I am very much into the storytelling of my legacy, so pretty much everything is planned out lol. There have been a few surprises even still though. Most children  I have planned out, but again there have been a few surprises there too!

Sometimes sims have minds of their own. I.E. Merlot and Lacey. That was all them. I was canceling interactions left and right, then finally I just let them have their fun lol.

Q: Can I ask a question. This is one I’ve been wanting to ask for ages, how do you download Fawkes?

A: I am horribly terrible at helping with the installation of custom content, but there is a tutorial over at mod the sims that explains it pretty well.

Q: How did you come up with all of this?

A: I just let my crazy brain run away with itself. I have always been a bit of a storyteller with a crazy big and healthy imagination. I think that helps a whole lot.

Q: What’s your color scheme?

A: The list is located in my first post.

Q: How do you come up with all those beautiful names?

A: Mostly I use this website and combine them with other sweet names that I just pop off my head XD

Q: Do you use any camera mods to get the perfect shot? I had a couple from MTS, but they weren’t updated for Generations yet.

A: No I do not. I use Tab mode.

Q:  Do you enjoy making stories or Splash better???

A: I enjoy both, but Splash is my baby :]

Q: When you started the writing, how did you get soo much views? BTW I LOVE ❤ love your stories. you are such an amazing writer.

A: I honestly don’t know! I started as most though. Not too many readers or commenters, but I had a small advantage…I was pretty well known from other things I had done on the forums so I picked up people quickly. That and my knack for story telling kinda was a winning combination. :]

Q:  If cherry had never been born who do you think would have been chosen heir and how do you think the legacy would have turned out? would you have chosen any of the same guys to be the heirs husband?

A: Roz was next in line actually, so we would have been looking at a female Peche if he had won :] I decided this would be a fun experiment so I did a genetic test that can be found here.

Q:  Berry, what do you do to get through a bad case of writers block?

A: Firstly I don’t beleive in writers bock. ;D So I don’t get it. I just have times where I don’t feel like writing, so I wait a day or so and try again.

Q:  Is there anything special you do with your pictures?

A: I add a small light enhancement with my art program PhotoImpact. Other than that I add a small black border. That’s it.

Q:  How do you get the emotional range your photos display? Such as getting your sims to cry or look suprised or things like that? Is that a mod, or just really lucky pictures?

A: I use moviemakerCheatsEnabled true and use the animation menu it offers. Just shift click the sim when it is on.

Q: Do you plan on making another rainbowacy after Splash?

A: It is possible, but nothing is set in stone at this point. It is also possible I will be collab’ing with a dear friend to finish one of my other legacies. The Muffin legacy.

Q: Which website do you make your header in?

A: I don’t use a website. I make it myself with my art program Photo Impact.

Q:  Do you really take care of everyone’s needs or do you just use a cheat to settle everyone down? Also, do you ever disable aging so no one would age up before you can tell their story or do you just lengthen the time of one particular life stage?

A: Ah I do not. LOL I actually don’t play the family at all. It is basically photo shooting and making babies, not that is a bad thing. I LOVE simitography more than I could ever explain and storytelling has always been my passion.  Combine the two and I am one happy berry. I do play other familes to get in my actual game play.

Q: I have noticed a few changes in character appearances though out the chapters (e.g. hair colour) and, I was just wondering, how much do you edit your sims?

A: I have edited quite a bit for different reasons. Often times (back in the day when I had a lot of crashes) I would lose someone and things would not be exactly as they were before, or I get someone with those stupid genetics and I have to fix them lol. I don’t follow any rules so anything could happen XD

I just wanted to know. Among all your heirs, who’s you favorite?

Apricot. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I love pretty much all of them though! Wait till gen 9. Apricot may have some competition!

How often do you usually update?

When ever I feel that I am ready to start a new chapter.

Olivine and Tiber, were they actually suppose to be together? And maybe after the negative feedback Tiber got for being juiced and all, that you decided against it? Sorry if I’m wrong about my assumption, I just need to know lol. I’ve thought about it for hours.

Nope they were not. That part of story was based on my own experiences and I never got my Tiber. He did the same thing. Never replied to my confession Email and so I finally let him go. Not long after I finally cut the ties, I met my Cello ♥

how can you photos that way, i tried to but for example, to get close to sims babies, take pictures of a way to catch everything, i wanted to take a few so i cannot … How do you do?

Tab mode. It allows you to move closer to objects and that.

How do you get your hair so shiny?

It is just the styles I use, but I do run all settings on high, so things come out more detailed.

how do your pictures come out so clear? Every time I try to take pictures, my sims always look like they’re made of clay or something and NOT like yours at all. Do you do anything else with the pictures aside from putting a small light enhancement?

I run all graphic settings on high except trees and draw distance. No, the only thing I do to my photos is light enhance and border.
